A Big Step For Dee

My New Gallery (pg image)
My new space at The Fetish Lounge Mall, surrounded with other adult artists and creative designers. Bhadra's Fetish shop is just a few steps down the hall.
Taken at Fetish Lounge Mall, Lost Dreams Exclusive (126, 137, 4001)
I got a call from Bhadra to come to her shop and move my book vender - there had been a thing with land ownership and everyone needed to move suddenly.

In the process, this storefront - surrounded by other artists in an high-traffic fetish mall - became available. It's right at the teleport point. I could not overlook what an opportunity this was. I thought about it, dithered, looked to see who was online, decided to wait and ask others what they thought, slapped myself and let my impulse rule. For if I think too hard about the risks of selling myself, I will never do it.

But I would not object to some company in this space!

Chic Magnet Show
Works featuring
Smooching Serpents
products at Villareal.
Many thanks to Eve Light
for the use of this marvellous space.
Darkadian Retrospective
An retrospective exhibit of works
I've created in Darkadia
featuring the native scenery and designs.
I  was surprised to see how difficult
it was to choose between the
artworks I had created here.
Thinking that the products of my elegant perversions are worth framing and putting on sale is a bit scary. But it's the proper next step. It's really the only proper response to two very public kicks in the ass encouragements by very dear friends.

It's a step I may no longer avoid, for I do indeed have "a body of work," things that are not merely good enough to get by, or illustrate a blog, or perhaps engorge the nether parts due to the virtue (ahem) of the acts depicted, but because they are beautiful or say something I feel to be genuinely important.

Tunnel Vision
One of my more recent works, available in real life as a print through my Deviant Art account which I created after Mai Nijan wore me down.
Some contents of these galleries - particularly the books on display at Chic Magnet in Villareal - are not merely NSFW, they are intended to grasp you by the genitals and focus your attention on ideas I wish you to consider while in an vulnerable state.

I would of course love for you to visit each exhibit - they feature different works, and not all are yet for sale. But they will be, and of course if you let me know, I will gladly put the one you love on the top of my pile.

The works I do have for sale are the same everywhere, so please consider buying at Darkadia because a portion of the sale goes to rewarding those who have created so much inspiration for us all.

A significantly different version of this story was also posted at Brigadoon Station.

New Art begets New Art

An Moist and Fluid Fate
An Moist and Fluid Fate - click to view it at a proper size

I am learning to embrace change - though it is never comfortable for me, it does bring new beauties inspire me So we have new things to share with you. Like this new artwork, which you will be able to see in my new gallery area in the tower. (Just teleport to the Tower and walk up one level.)

These images were shot as I swam about in the new Hydrophidan area beneath the store. You are encouraged to explore, but to do so properly you will really need a Naiad outfit and a Mermaid AO.

If you happen to make latex mermaid outfits - or even more conventional ones - don't be shy about shooting here. But please let us know you have so we may know, admire and share.

Calling All Naiads!

Mai Nijan has installed a beautiful large tank in the middle of the new store with an invitation to all  who may be mer-curious to try becoming an Darkadian Naiad.

Darkadia is a beautiful and ever-changing place. One of my favourite things to do is to take pictures of friends and strangers in the midst of it.

I logged into Darkadia and noticed that my friend, Sally the Mermaid was online. I know that Sally has all things mermaid, including a great deal of LWI latex and I know she loves posing. I don't shoot enough of her, and I knew we needed naiad images.
(And yes, that DOES mean there are new naiad products in the LWI pipeline!)

summoned her to play and pulled a profile image out of the results. It seemed the least I could do for an hour of being relatively unmolested - which is not exactly what she comes to SL for. And I liked the outcome well enough to do another.

I looked through the shots that I'd taken more or less randomly through the lag and the random actions of our AO's ... and I found something else worth working with. It was good enough to sign my name to, I think. And there are probably more. Indeed, I really must go through the images I have shot at Darkadia over the years, put them on prims and box them up. One of the things I really dislike is walking into a home or a club and seeing some badly-stolen photo or painting on the wall when it should be easy to find art and photography made in second life to fit Second Life.

I have a rather short list of place I go to make artwork. It needs to be adult, for one, for I loathe having to think about nudity while shooting. Naughty bits may be seen as outfits are changed right on the poseballs or the pose huds and it's time consuming enough without dancing around the prudes of SL. And I do like it to be kink-friendly, but more importantly, it must be beautifully made. Even if it's grungy and scary looking - I do need those too. But what I lack the most at the moment are wonderful pastoral locations.

It's difficult to keep track of beautiful places to take pictures of beautiful things, for places come and go. I would appreciate it very much if you would suggest a place to shoot. I shall make a point to go and look, and it may well become an artwork, or go into my collection of teleportals and artwork on display at Brigadoon Station. Or you can find my portal art venders at Darkadia, just where you teep in - and a portion of all proceeds goes to support the sim.
