Darkadia, now with extra inspiration.

An Orientalist Fantasy Framed
Eliza Maiman & DeNovo Broome in the Shibari Garden

I'm wearing the LW Tranceptor 2013 - having shed some parts and added a classic Plausible Body "Opacity" underlayer in red. (50%, I think) Thanks to the lighting it's almost modest and the colour is off, but I love matching the cherry-blossoms to my own.

PB's Open Pricing model gave me my first favorite set of go-to latex, I still have it, still use it and still drag newbs there. Roslynd Turbo runs it and is one of the quietly generous people who make SL worthwhile.

"Get this, this, that, those pumps go with everything, tip the nice jar," I say as I slip another hundred or so in myself. And as you see, it still rocks - it's not so much latex as it seems to be skin-tight tight vinyl, but I like that.

It complements so many other outfits. And they do have many! Goddess, it's mix and match heaven, just like Latex Web.

Eliza is wearing the Bamboo Blue Kimono by Rag Dollz.. RD is Eliza's favorite place in the whole of Second Life and I frequent it myself. They seem to have something for any possible situation or RP - even for the likes of me, though it's depressingly G-Rated. As you can see, their Kimono are quite good; I have one too. A Kimono AO is a good investment and it will complement many Latex Web outfits.

Do remember to ensure that you have panties on when you go to Rag Dollz Island! I must admit I've forgotten, mis-remembering that a particular outfit. I was wearing had a system skirt and did NOT include panties! Thank you, Bhadra! Blush!

This was shot in the Shibari Garden on the roof of the new club at Darkadia, I'm about to upload it to SL and hang it in the club.

As promised, as hinted, as teased - the new Latex Web High Gloss Catsuit and more!

A Brand New Shine

A Brand New ShineThe new Latexweb "shine" is, I think comparable to any other designer in SL, if not an entirely new standard. No, that's not hype - if I have a single, predominant visual kink, it's "shine," and I'm picky.

It's being released in parallel with a version of the Gwen hood - and the mouth-gag-plug toy has been moved right to the front of the store. Could that be a hint about a good look for aspirant drones?

I honestly can't say but I am sure that  they will be treasured additions to your collection.

I have rocked the new shine in pictures and seen it from every angle.

It's now a standard and I can't wait for more colours - which are promised. The first will be the transparent catsuit with a matching gloss.

I'm the Oni Demon Here 3

Here's something we have seen, on and off at LWI for a year or more now as a dreadful tease is FINALLY in the venders. I expect to find this in RLV folders soon!

  The Gummi Sack

At 400L, need I even word this as a hint? Well, yes. I should because I'm not a paydomme, - but I'm sure you have paid more to get less. It's something you would have expected to have to go to Hybridz for - but at home, supporting your favorite sim.

Edit: More on this from Mai, via her personal blog.

A little something to explore at Darkadia.

In the unopened club in Darkadia, there's a small telepad - and a chance to explore and play with Eve Light's Morphing Home. This is one of several options. Doesn't that bed look inviting? Why don't you invite someone - or sometwo? You'd be amazed at what poking all the different buttons will reveal.

Patience and Duty

"Patience and Duty" by M. DeNovo Broome

Darkadia isn't even officially open yet and I'm already inspired. This one turned out well enough that I made prints at Deviant Art.  I'm finally getting confident and patient enough with Firestorm's camera tools and my various image editing apps that I'm coming up with files that are genuinely worth hanging on your RL wall.

Although perhaps this one belongs in the boudoir... well, no, it's quite tasteful in it's charged and sexual way. Perhaps in the bar, or the billiards room.

My aim here is not to sell you prints (not that I'd mind if you bought one) it's to prove that it's possible to make salable, art quality, astonishingly beautiful artwork in SL and  that it can be and should be done at Darkadia! It's a strong suggestion that you should.... Mai. But not JUST her.

You as well, dear reader, you as well! "Why this is art, nor are you out of it!"
It seems appropriate to misquote Faust here...

SL is a wonderful medium for serious art, more and more are doing it as in-world decor and as a way of making physical "Legitimate Art."

That's a nonsensical concept, of course, but those are the sorts of words a girl has to use to get to the wine and cheese party. And in that vein.. or vain... we have two groups in which we brag. There's the original, Artists of Darkadia on Flickr. And now, we have a group on Deviant Art - The-Art-Of-Darkadia. Please do follow both and if you are an artist - we do hope you would like to contribute.

But if you are not an artist - S&m often stands for Stand and Model.

A Big Step For Dee

My New Gallery (pg image)
My new space at The Fetish Lounge Mall, surrounded with other adult artists and creative designers. Bhadra's Fetish shop is just a few steps down the hall.
Taken at Fetish Lounge Mall, Lost Dreams Exclusive (126, 137, 4001)
I got a call from Bhadra to come to her shop and move my book vender - there had been a thing with land ownership and everyone needed to move suddenly.

In the process, this storefront - surrounded by other artists in an high-traffic fetish mall - became available. It's right at the teleport point. I could not overlook what an opportunity this was. I thought about it, dithered, looked to see who was online, decided to wait and ask others what they thought, slapped myself and let my impulse rule. For if I think too hard about the risks of selling myself, I will never do it.

But I would not object to some company in this space!

Chic Magnet Show

Many thanks to Eve Light
for the use of this marvellous space.
Darkadian Retrospective
An retrospective exhibit of works
I've created in Darkadia
featuring the native scenery and designs.
I  was surprised to see how difficult
it was to choose between the
artworks I had created here.
Thinking that the products of my elegant perversions are worth framing and putting on sale is a bit scary. But it's the proper next step. It's really the only proper response to two very public kicks in the ass encouragements by very dear friends.

It's a step I may no longer avoid, for I do indeed have "a body of work," things that are not merely good enough to get by, or illustrate a blog, or perhaps engorge the nether parts due to the virtue (ahem) of the acts depicted, but because they are beautiful or say something I feel to be genuinely important.

Tunnel Vision
One of my more recent works, available in real life as a print through my Deviant Art account which I created after Mai Nijan wore me down.
Some contents of these galleries - particularly the books on display at Chic Magnet in Villareal - are not merely NSFW, they are intended to grasp you by the genitals and focus your attention on ideas I wish you to consider while in an vulnerable state.

I would of course love for you to visit each exhibit - they feature different works, and not all are yet for sale. But they will be, and of course if you let me know, I will gladly put the one you love on the top of my pile.

The works I do have for sale are the same everywhere, so please consider buying at Darkadia because a portion of the sale goes to rewarding those who have created so much inspiration for us all.

A significantly different version of this story was also posted at Brigadoon Station.

New Art begets New Art

An Moist and Fluid Fate
An Moist and Fluid Fate - click to view it at a proper size

I am learning to embrace change - though it is never comfortable for me, it does bring new beauties inspire me So we have new things to share with you. Like this new artwork, which you will be able to see in my new gallery area in the tower. (Just teleport to the Tower and walk up one level.)

These images were shot as I swam about in the new Hydrophidan area beneath the store. You are encouraged to explore, but to do so properly you will really need a Naiad outfit and a Mermaid AO.

If you happen to make latex mermaid outfits - or even more conventional ones - don't be shy about shooting here. But please let us know you have so we may know, admire and share.

Restrained Love 2.8.3.5

Restrained Love 2.8.3.5: Hello there,

After months of stalling, here is the latest version of the RLV at last. As I indicated here, I had to revert the version of the RLV from 2.8.3.4 down to 2.8.3.3, because the former was simply unusable for a builder. It all came down to one reason only : the introduction of the Pathfinding feature in the SL code base, which broke a lot of things !

It took months for Linden Lab to fix the bugs one by one, and thanks to Lance Corrimal, the source code of the RLV was kept up to date !

So here it is, with precisely no improvement on the RLV side, but a lot of improvement on the SL side. Now you can keep "Lighting and Shadows" on at all times ! No sudden crash (or very few), no texture corruption, no weird edit bug, and a lot of other things have been improved as well. I couldn't keep track of all that has been done, but it looks like the Friends List and the Group List load much faster now. It also seems to be able to handle large amounts of texture on Ultra without crashing (such as in crowded places, for example).

It overall feels snappier and more stable.

The only problem I had with it was my back tattoo... it was causing a lot of issues such as refusing to bake my skin and refusing to hide my feet when wearing shoes (but not all of them, go figure). Other tattoos are fine, but I just can't wear that one for the moment. Weird. So if you have issues when baking your skin that rebaking doesn't solve, you may want to find out which part of your avatar texture is causing the issue.

Gwen Hood and Plug Gag

Alternate set title - Slut on a Stick :)

A slutty set to show some of the fetish possibilities of Latex Web Inc's Gwen Hood and Gwen plug gag. Here, I've combined those with LWI's Hidden Agenda outfit, a perfect match for this hood and plug (please note that the Hidden Agenda outfit is i-Ready for prim breasts). You can find the full set at:

Calling All Naiads!

Mai Nijan has installed a beautiful large tank in the middle of the new store with an invitation to all  who may be mer-curious to try becoming an Darkadian Naiad.

Darkadia is a beautiful and ever-changing place. One of my favourite things to do is to take pictures of friends and strangers in the midst of it.

I logged into Darkadia and noticed that my friend, Sally the Mermaid was online. I know that Sally has all things mermaid, including a great deal of LWI latex and I know she loves posing. I don't shoot enough of her, and I knew we needed naiad images.
(And yes, that DOES mean there are new naiad products in the LWI pipeline!)

summoned her to play and pulled a profile image out of the results. It seemed the least I could do for an hour of being relatively unmolested - which is not exactly what she comes to SL for. And I liked the outcome well enough to do another.

I looked through the shots that I'd taken more or less randomly through the lag and the random actions of our AO's ... and I found something else worth working with. It was good enough to sign my name to, I think. And there are probably more. Indeed, I really must go through the images I have shot at Darkadia over the years, put them on prims and box them up. One of the things I really dislike is walking into a home or a club and seeing some badly-stolen photo or painting on the wall when it should be easy to find art and photography made in second life to fit Second Life.

I have a rather short list of place I go to make artwork. It needs to be adult, for one, for I loathe having to think about nudity while shooting. Naughty bits may be seen as outfits are changed right on the poseballs or the pose huds and it's time consuming enough without dancing around the prudes of SL. And I do like it to be kink-friendly, but more importantly, it must be beautifully made. Even if it's grungy and scary looking - I do need those too. But what I lack the most at the moment are wonderful pastoral locations.

It's difficult to keep track of beautiful places to take pictures of beautiful things, for places come and go. I would appreciate it very much if you would suggest a place to shoot. I shall make a point to go and look, and it may well become an artwork, or go into my collection of teleportals and artwork on display at Brigadoon Station. Or you can find my portal art venders at Darkadia, just where you teep in - and a portion of all proceeds goes to support the sim.

Lolas Tangos and Mainstream SL

Blog post from Maggie Bluxome, reposted here.

Lolas Tangos and Mainstream SL:
One thing I am noticing is the number of stores who have never been in the prim breast market, suddenly enter with support for the Lolas Tangos.
This is interesting as it seems the greater SL world is taking notice.
In fact, the Tangos were featured in an article (thank you Melissa for pointing this out) on New World News, a leading SL web site that discusses the daily ongoing of our virtual world.
Come take a look at the discussion of prim breasts on a slightly more serious note.

Entrewoozy

Entree Woozy - Darkadia and Tokyo Girl Collide and make art.

The new store as I first saw it, new, raw and unexpected.

I know Mai loves to build, and loves to change things around. And I'm TORN!

I love to have great places to shoot and I do love variety.. but oh my GODDESS! When Mai is inspired, the pixils fly! I've learned to grab shots while I can, for It May Not Be Here Tomorrow. Somehow she's learned  mesh design in the middle of a sim rebuild... it makes me tired. Now, I might grumble about being elderly and set in my ways at this point - but quite frankly, I don't think I was ever like that, and in many ways, I feel younger and more open to new things than I was *cough* years ago.

Anyway, despite the occasional disorientation, I've loved to shoot my pictures in Darkadia for years now. I used to sneak in - I'm not at all social - and find things to shoot against. Eventually, I ran into Mai - I may actually have tripped over her hogied form - and the rest, as they say, is history. It was gradual, as all good things are.. in my incremental opinion.

That, or Mai knows my weakness - "No sudden moves, regular offers of eye-candy."

Anyway, seeing as Brigadoon Station has more posts about LWi items than my own works, it really seems reasonable for me to start blogging here. Shooting and boxing my OWN things is Work, and therefore Not Fun, you see. And every once in a while I realize that is indeed what I'm in Second Life for - it's supposed to be fun. Hard fun some days, but all interesting fun has a bit of grinding involved.

Little Black Dress

A fun set to showcase another of our new outfits. Set in sensual and hot locations showing Latex Web Inc's Little Black Dress, the outfit is i-Ready for prim breasts. You can find the complete set at:

LWI Customer Pictures - Share with everybody

While it's a lot of fun for us to create and make outfits, it brings us even more pleasure to see all of you enjoying them around SL. So, we encourage you to take pictures of yourselves wearing or using LWI attire and items and then share them with everybody else. If you post them to Flickr, you can submit them to the LWI Flickr group at:

http://www.flickr.com/groups/latexweb/

Each month, the staff of LWI will select the top two pictures from the last month and showcase them on our blog and in the store.

Latex Gown Pictures

Over the course of the next two weeks, we're going to try and showcase some of our new outfits out and about SL, on location, having fun. For our first set, we used the Latex Gown 1.0 in primarily gothic locations, with appropriate skin tone and hair. You can can find the complete set at:

Hope you enjoy them :)
